Spring Shredding Event
Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30
Maine Savings is proud to sponsor the Spring 2022 Shredding Event being held in conjunction with Drug Take Back Day with the Bangor Police Department on Friday, April 29 from 7am – 2pm and on Saturday, April 30 from 10am – 2pm in the Hannaford Parking Lot on Union Street in Bangor. Records Management Center will be onsite with their specialized, high-capacity mobile shredding truck, enabling you to quickly and thoroughly dispose of personal documents that identity thieves regularly use to commit fraud – documents such as old bills, receipts, junk mail, account statements, and unused pre-approved offers of credit. Community shredding events help protect from the dangers and staggering costs associated with identity theft, while also cutting down on your clutter at home!
Please note: personal documents only. Commercial or business documents will not be accepted for shredding. Please limit shredding to five boxes maximum, no larger than 21”x12”x12” or equivalent. They will not accept empty boxes, containers, or plastic bags after shredding. No need to remove staples, paper clips, or binder clips.
This community event is also a Drug Take Back event, so you’ll be able to dispose of any unused prescription drugs at the same time. The goal of the event is to ensure that unused or unwanted medications don’t end up in the wrong hands, and this is an easy and safe way to get those potentially dangerous drugs out of the community and disposed of safely.
